Something I Forgot I Wrote

The following is something I wrote just before my final college class. It is juvenile and underdone, but something I forgot I wrote.

I am sitting in the sun. Under a jacaranda tree.

It is my last day of college. It is starting to hit, just about sinking in.

I am about to depart from the plan. Time belongs to me. Money will be mine. Bills with my name, not autograph.

I wonder what’s to come. But I am sitting here under the jacaranda tree, waiting.
